About the Federation

Our Mission

The Federation helps its members provide dynamic public library service while maintaining their local autonomy.

IslandLink Library Federation, established in 2008, has 4 member libraries: Alert Bay Public Library, Greater Victoria Public Library, Powell River Public Library and Salt Spring Island Public Library.  IslandLink members are autonomous public libraries which recognize the value of sharing resources and coordinating efforts to improve access to library service in their communities by:

• Enhancing the capacity and creativity of our member libraries to transform public library services
• Fostering cooperation among member libraries and the BC library community

IslandLink is funded by  Public Libraries Branch, Ministry of Municipal Affairs
