Kyo Maclear author readings
Renowned Canadian Children’s author and novelist Kyo Maclear will be visiting IslandLink member libraries in Greater Victoria, Powell River and Salt Spring Island during the last week of September 2016 with the generous support of the Canada Council for the Arts, Literary Readings Program.

Monday, Sept. 26, 7pm in Powell River
Story Seeds: The Art of Picture Book Writing. Spend an evening with noted children’s author and novelist Kyo Maclear as she discusses writing for children and reads from The Wish Tree.

Author Reading: Kyo Maclear Children’s author of Spork, Virginia Wolf, The Liszts, The Wish Tree and more, will read and share her experience as a writer and the creative process behind picture books. Stortytime with Kyo Maclear. For kids ages 3-10+, parents and adults of all ages. The library is excited to announce a visit from children’s author Kyo Maclear. Kyo has written many excellent picture books including The Specific Ocean, The Good Little Book, Spork and the Wish Tree. Not your typical story time, this event includes a multimedia presentation and a chance to meet a famous children’s author. Drop-in. No pre-registration required.
